Larry Torgrimson
Larry Leroy Torgrimson peacefully passed away June 9th after courageously fighting a lengthy illness. Always one for storytelling, family time, and enjoying his favorite foods, his final days were shared doing just that, right before he crossed over to take the hand of Diane who was waiting patiently for him at Heaven’s gates. Born March 23, 1946, in Fergus Falls, Larry’s love for fishing, hunting, and sports grew as he did. Meeting the love of his life Diane (Western) at Ashby High School, Larry’s tale of her proposing to him is one that only he and she will ever fully know the truth of. Married June 11, 1966, they moved to Rochester for Larry’s career in banking and built the family home where he still lived. Transitioning into the car business, Larry was well-known to this day at dealerships in the area, especially in Zumbrota where he and the Kuehn brothers once owned the local lot. After retiring, he didn’t stay away for long, rejoining the industry to work for a longtime friend at the Auto Finance Center.
