MARVEL Strike Force: Building the Perfect Teams for All Game Modes | Bluestacks (2024)

If you’re a budding MARVEL fan and love playing mobile games, there’s highly likely that you might have heard of MARVEL Strike Force. Developed by Scopely, this turn-based RPG features iconic superheroes and supervillains from the MARVEL franchise. Boasting over 200+ different characters, it’s crucial to learn about team-building and testing out your builds for the most optimal performance. While there is no specific “best team”, you can build quite a decent one if you have the time and energy to learn about the game mechanics. This guide will help you with exactly that!

Understanding the Roles of Characters

It’s imperative that we dig deeper into the basics of each individual character before crafting a team. In MARVEL Strike Force, all characters are assigned a basic role upon which they act and their abilities revolve around. These roles are: Tank, Healer, DPS/Damage dealer, and Controller. You can have up to 5 different characters in your roster at any time. It’s important to craft a team that synergizes well with each other, on top of fulfilling some core roles in the team. You can do so after knowing what each role does and the characters encompassing that particular role. Let’s dive deeper!

Tanks (Protector)

Tanks are essentially the core of any team in MARVEL Strike Force. They act as the frontline for the team and can make use of the Taunt debuff to help lower HP targets not take damage. Taunted enemies will essentially start their turns by attacking the tank character, saving your DPS or any other low HP allies safely. Characters that may play tanks may have low attack power, but they also need to have high health points in order to be able to withstand attacks for five to six rounds before needing to be healed.

Characters that assume this position are required to employ their taunt skill right away as the fight starts. When their health points go below fifty percent, they ought to be healed. Your team needs a tank at all times. You can use your offensive skills as well, however they won’t be as potent if your taunt skill’s cooldown (CD) hasn’t yet ended. Tanks are essentially “shields,” and their sole purpose is to endure as long as possible to allow other team members to launch unrestricted attacks.

Some notable Tank type characters are as follows:

  • A.I.M. Security
  • Captain America
  • Crossbones, Drax
  • Hand Sentry, Hulk
  • Hydra Armored Guard
  • Kingpin
  • Kree Royal Guard
  • Luke Cage
  • Mercenary Riot Guard
  • Ravager Bruiser
  • S.H.I.E.L.D. Security

Healers (Support)

Healers are often called life savers, due to their ability to heal and revive low HP targets. They are highly effective as players will constantly need them to revive fallen targets or simply heal them back to full. In Arena teams, Healers are often the cornerstone that hold the team together. A big difference between a potent healer and a not-so potent one would be the cooldowns of their skills. The longer the cooldown, the lower some healers are preferred.

Team members should not be healed until their health points are less than 50%. Sadly, healers’ personal health points are extremely low. Even one strike may be enough to kill them. To defend the healer, utilize the tank’s taunt ability as soon as the fight begins. Their healing abilities are typically AOE (area of effect), which allows them to instantly benefit the entire squad. One healer must always be included on your team.

Some notable Healer type characters are as follows:

  • A.I.M. Researcher
  • Hydra Scientist
  • Hand Sorceress
  • Kree Oracle
  • Mercenary Lieutenant
  • Nick Fury
  • Night Nurse
  • Ravager Stitcher
  • Scientist Supreme
  • S.H.I.E.L.D. Medic
  • S.H.I.E.L.D. Operative
  • Yondu

Damage Dealers (Blaster/Brawler)

Damage dealers are also categorized as Blasters and Brawlers. While there’s a stark differentiation between the 2, the former seems to be more DPS heavy while the latter is more bruiser-like. Brawlers have more HP and brute force attacks than Blasters. Blasters are often more powerful attackers than Brawlers. They can combine with other characters to increase the potency of their attacks, and their special skills have a shorter CD length than those of the other roles.

One Brawler and one Blaster should be on your team at all times. It’s important to have at least 2 damage dealers in a team or else you will succumb to the damage dealt by the enemies. Prioritize focus on low HP enemies, and command your characters to use their attacks on the backline.

Some notable Damage Dealer type characters are as follows:

  • A.I.M. Assaulter
  • Deadpool
  • Bullseye
  • Hand Archer
  • Hydra Grenadier
  • Hydra Rifle Trooper
  • Hydra Sniper
  • Iron Man
  • Kree Cyborg
  • Korath the Pursuer
  • Mercenary Soldier
  • Mercenary Sniper
  • Punisher
  • Ravager Boomer
  • Rocket Raccoon
  • S.H.I.E.L.D. Assault
  • S.H.I.E.L.D. Trooper
  • Winter Soldier
  • Thor

Crowd Control (Controller)

Crowd controllers or Controllers for short are amazing characters having the potential to turn the tides of battle in your favour. They generally have low attack power and defense, but high HP and low cooldown on their abilities. Such characters can wreak havoc on the enemy teams with their constant downpour of debuffs and turn manipulation. Stuns, freezes, charms, you name it. While their usefulness in PvE content is mid, in PvP it is quite high.

They do not cause serious harm to the enemy team but they can specifically lock down high priority targets, enabling you to finish off the rest of the team easily. Othertimes, they can also bring useful buffs to help allies survive and strive longer. It is recommended to have at least 1 crowd controller type character in your team, especially for Alliance Raids.

Some notable Crowd control type characters are as follows:

  • A.I.M. Infector
  • Black Widow
  • Hand Assassin
  • Hawkeye
  • Jessica Jones
  • Kree Noble
  • Nobu
  • Quake
  • Ronan the Accuser

Players can enjoy MARVEL Strike Force even more on a bigger screen of their PC or Laptop, complete with your keyboard and mouse via BlueStacks!
