Our Dad:
Son of Francesco Tufaro and Maria Oliveto he is survived by four sons Fr. Douglas, Frank, Erickson, Joseph and beloved grandchildren Michael and Allison
Worked at Grumman for many years on airplanes and the moon shot. His name is on a plaque on the moon!
Dear Dad:
How much we love and appreciate you
for all that you’ve done for us throughout our lives
You’ve been an inspiration to us four sons
Guiding us with your wisdom and your love
Teaching us the value of hard work and dedication
and showing us what it means to be true gentlemen
Your kind heart and gentle spirit
have touched the lives of so many
and we are grateful to call you our father
and to have you as our shining example
Thank you for all the sacrifices you’ve made.
Thank you for your service in WWII on the Navy destroyer in the Pacific
For the wonderful life you made with mom for nearly 75 years
For the countless hours you’ve spent working
to provide for us and give us a better life
, and for always being there with open arms
We will miss you dearly

It was my honor to have known such a wonderful man and his incredible wife Claire for these many years. Joe and Claire exemplified what good people are. - We join the whole in the sorrow for the loss of dear Joe, a good and gentle man who loved his family dearly. We are sure that after a long life of love and work, he is getting his fair reward in Heaven next to his beloved wife. Rose remembers with great fondness the yearly Christmas visita at her parent’s house and the Summer days spent at the Tufaro’s home full of good times. A hug and sympathy to you all! - Dear Joe, Coworker and friend over the years…I didn’t get a text back on Memorial Day and you always text back. So now I know. I hope and pray you are in Heaven with your beloved wife and your friend, my Uncle Charlie. You can reminisce about the LM and do wonderful things we can only imagine. I will continue to pray for you and your family, my friend, and will miss you until we meet again. I know the last couple of years have been rough for you – God has mercifully taken you to Himself. I will let our common friends know you’ve made it home.
